A Victorious, Expectant, Faith

Proverbs 23:7 – For as he thinks in his heart so is he…

Romans 8:37 – Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Beloved we have entered into a blessed new year. This is a time to put an expectation on your faith and in God’s loving faithfulness. The word of God lets us know that “without faith, it is impossible to please God”; therefore, we know that with faith God is well pleased. Please take a moment to have your faith encouraged, to get your heart and mind ready, so that you can start off this year with “A Victorious, Expectant, Mindset”…

Putting an expectation on our faith to where it is as natural as breathing does not just happen by accident. The word of God tells us that “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word.” We cannot just read something once, or hear it once, or have it taught to us once, or even speak it to ourselves just once and have it in our hearts or thinking. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as a man thinks in his heart so is he…” So many times our perception of a situation determines how we think, act, or react to that situation. The trouble with that is, if our perception is negative, and our thinking is negative, or we just have a “neutral, oh well, whatever, Lord I guess this is as good as it gets” kind of an attitude than the outcome more times than not is going to be negative because our faith is covered in doubt or neutrality. An expectant faith can’t be neutral or complacent. What you think in your heart is what your mouth will speak – and we know that words have power (Prov 18:21 – Death and life are in the power of the tongue…) not just in the natural but in the spirit. Your faith can’t be neutral and speak at the same time. It is at times just as dangerous to speak nothing as it is to speak doubt. The world was created with the spoken word. The word of faith must be rehearsed in your hearing until you speak the Word with an expectation just as natural as you inhale and exhale. When speaking God’s word in faith, with an expectation, becomes as natural as breathing then it has become life to your life and you become a natural doer of the word. God’s word does not fail, it will accomplish it’s purpose and God hastens to perform it (Isaiah 55:11, Jeremiah 1:12).

Determine this day to think and meditate on the promises of God – not the delay. Think on the faithfulness of God – not the doubt. Think on the love God has for you here on the earth – not just the God of heaven. Think on God’s grace – not just the hardship that you have endured. Think on God’s all knowing, all powerful, supernatural ability, to work out any situation – not just on the roadblocks that are in front of you. This is a year full of God’s greatness and manifested love for you, your family, your business, your ministry, your health, your job, your marriage or any other area of your life. Pray: Lord help me develop a victorious, expectant mindset in your faithfulness and love for me. I declare today that throughout this year I will look towards the hills (with faith and expectation) from where my help comes from – for my help comes from You, Lord God Almighty. Help me this day and throughout this year to pray, praise, act, and step boldly with Your loving faith and not to settle for less out of fear or a complacent attitude. In Jesus name – Amen!

1 Kings 8:56 – Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.
