In The Image and Likeness of God

Greetings, Loved Ones, on this wintry Wednesday! I celebrate the gifts that each season of the year presents and the purpose that each one has to nourish the earth. GOD’s attention to every detail of His creation is profoundly amazing.

Genesis 1:26-28 (AMP) tells us…

Then GOD said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” So GOD created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of GOD He created him; male and female He created them.  And GOD blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

Then, Psalm 139 describes GOD’s Omnipresence and Omniscience, that He has woven Himself in us and our very existence depends on Him. We are alive today because of the Sovereign Authority who sees us very differently than we see ourselves. What He has designed in each one of us is meant to be a glorious reflection of Him in our living, to equip us as we journey through our days on earth, to honor and glorify Him as He lavishes His love on us.

When you are in your quiet time, I invite you to read Psalm 139 and allow it to soak in. Ask the Holy Spirit to saturate you in the depth of these words. When you do, I believe you will have a most rewarding and enriching experience.

Prayer of Exaltation: I will exalt You, my GOD, O King, And [with gratitude and submissive wonder] I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You and lovingly praise You; Yes, [with awe-inspired reverence] I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is [so vast and profound as to be] unsearchable [incomprehensible to man].

All Your works shall give thanks to You and praise You, O Lord, And Your godly ones will bless You. My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh will bless and gratefully praise His holy name forever and ever.  (Psalm 145:1-3,10,21 AMP)

Love Always,
