Our Sacrifice of Praise and Thanksgiving

Our Sacrifice of Praise and Thanksgiving

Good Wednesday morning, Loved Ones! This is another great day to express your love to GOD, the Omnipotent One who has given you life and purpose.

Psalm 50:23 AMP – “He who offers a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way rightly [who follows the way that I show him], I shall show the salvation of God.”

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season, a period of penitential preparation for the celebration of the Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST, in the Christian church. Ash Wednesday, six and a half weeks before the Resurrection, provides for a 40-day fast (excluding Sundays), in imitation of JESUS CHRIST’s fasting in the wilderness before He began His public ministry.

You may have decided to fast from certain foods or beverages, favorite things or habits. Maybe you’ve decided to dedicate more of your time to loving and serving others. Perhaps, you’ve chosen to spend more time in the Scriptures that pertain to the life of JESUS, His ministry and His ultimate sacrifice.

John 3:16-17 AMP –  “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.”

Our FATHER’s matchless love for us is beyond measure and He proved that to us by sending His SON to save us. Whatever you have decided, remember that what pleases GOD is that we offer ourselves to Him every day, living the life that honors and glorifies Him.

Romans 12:1 AMP -Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.

Certainly, every day is sacred unto the LORD our GOD. Not only during this Lenten season but in every season, choose to praise and honor Him in your daily walk.

Prayer: ALMIGHTY GOD, we praise You and thank You for all of Your benefits. You forgive all our sins and You heal all our diseases. You redeem our lives from the pit. You crown us with Your lovingkindness and tender mercy. You satisfy our years with good things so that our youth is renewed like the soaring eagle. We cannot adequately express our gratitude except to offer ourselves to You daily as living sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. And so we do. In JESUS’ Name. Amen.

Love Always,
