Peace vs Anxiety

Peace vs Anxiety

Good Wednesday morning, Loved Ones! The light of this new day indicates that we have a fresh start to embrace all of GOD’s provisions, the fruit of the Spirit.

Philippians 1:2 AMP – Grace to you and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Don’t you just hate it when something going on in your life causes you to worry and feel anxious all the time? You try to set it aside and work out in your mind how to resolve the matter but it finds new ways to grip your thoughts. As time passes, it gets so uncomfortable…so heavy that it consumes you and you become desperate to find an escape.

You may have prayed and asked GOD to help and it doesn’t seem that He hears you…He certainly isn’t doing anything about the situation that has you drowning in fear. You asked GOD to help you…but did you turn to His Word?

Hebrews 4:12 AMP – For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Philippians 4:6 AMP – Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.

Hunker down in your quiet place where you can experience GOD’s presence. Seek the knowledge of GOD for the solution to the problem that has caused you to carry the baggage of worry, anxiety…and now, fear. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you to the scriptures that will renew your life, fortify your spiritual journey and give you the peace that has seemed to be so elusive.

Psalm 34:14 AMP – Turn away from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

Whether you realize it or not, when your attention and time are consumed by the situation that has gripped you, evil finds an opening to distract your mind and turn your thoughts away from GOD. This is when wrong decisions are made. Unknowingly, anxiety becomes your god.

Colossians 3:15 AMP – Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].

Philippians 4:8 AMP – Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

Philippians 4:9 AMP – The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.

Philippians 4:13 AMP – I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Prayer: O GOD, the Source of our Peace, You have the solutions to everything that we will ever encounter in life. Forgive us for seeking our own way out of situations that envelop us in worry and anxiety. Thank You for Your Word that rescues, delivers and restores the peace that only You give. In JESUS’ Name. Amen.

Love Always,
