What Did JESUS Say?

Greetings, Loved Ones, on this blessed Monday morning!

IMMANUEL, GOD with us! Wonderful COUNSELOR…Mighty GOD…Everlasting FATHER…PRINCE of PEACE! (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6)

In the span of three short years, JESUS fulfilled His purpose…completed His mission on earth. His mission was to save us from eternal separation from GOD by offering Himself as the sacrifice for our sins. He accomplished everything He came to do in that wisp of time. Many of us find it difficult, if not impossible, to achieve our purpose in our entire lifetime. We can argue that He had Divine ability because He was, after all, the Son of GOD. He’d had an eternity of experience getting things done!

Not only did JESUS pay the penalty for our sins by shedding His own blood and dying a humiliating death in our place…but while He was on earth, He taught us volumes about who He is and who we are in Him.  He told us over and over again, even demonstrated, how much the FATHER loves us. Otherwise, He would not have sent the Son…His beloved, only begotten Son.

Isaiah 53:5 (AMP)

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

John 3:16 (AMP)

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.

As we read and meditate on the Scriptures, we are so richly blessed that in our quiet time, we have a personal audience with JESUS…learning more and more about who He is and absorbing His teachings.

John 8:12 (AMP)  – Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

JESUS invites us to emulate Him by choosing to follow His example. That’s how we shine forth His love and show our gratitude for all He has done for us.

Matthew 5:14-15 (AMP) –  “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”

Prayer: FATHER, we are so overwhelmingly blessed with everything You pour into us through Your Word. May our lives praise, honor and glorify You as we share the light of Your love with the world. In JESUS’ Name, we pray and thank You. Amen.

Love Always,

SpreadSonshine!
