Does God Receive Your Quick Prayers?

Good Monday morning, Loved Ones!

From the view outside my window, it doesn’t seem likely that the bright sunlight will break through the rain clouds. I am encouraged, however, to know that the muted light that I do see through those clouds proves that it is, indeed, a new day that the Lord has made and the sun is shining. I pray that I’ll be able to enjoy at least a glimpse of the brilliant sunset.
Our devotion to GOD in prayer is so rewarding! He works wonders in the details of our lives, no matter how small or how big. I’m always concerned when I hear people say that they jump up in the morning, get ready for their day and say a quick prayer on the way out the door. Prayer first thing in the day never should be quick or an afterthought. Unhurried time with Him always proves to be amazingly profound.  When we shuttle up to the throne room of GOD and throw a shout out or a note at the door as we rush by doesn’t qualify us to experience unforgettable time in His presence.  We miss very important opportunities to bless Him with our gratitude, praise and worship. We miss hearing what He has to say to us, how He wants to lavish us with His great love. If we are speeding off to be entangled in the distractions of the world, we’ll never experience GOD’s Sovereignty on a personal level.
If you are guilty of speeding through the drive-thru lane of prayer, I urge you to ask GOD’s forgiveness and repent of your arrogance and disrespect. Make the shift now. Rather than hurry past GOD each day, take the necessary time to kneel before Him in earnest prayer.

Psalm 37:4-5
Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it.

PRAYER:

FATHER GOD, please forgive me for callously setting You outside from the life You have given me. I repent of my careless and self-centered behavior. I acknowledge that You are the Giver and Sustainer of life. Thank You for loving me unconditionally. Help me to be present each day to praise and honor You as You so richly deserve.  May I, with intention and commitment, show my love for You as I strive to serve and please You on my journey. In JESUS’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Love Always,
SpreadSonshine!
